John Harman
Managing Director, MBChB, FRACS
He is a fully qualified Breast and General Surgeon with vast experience in all aspects of breast surgery. He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Breast Section, the American Breast Society and the International Breast Cancer Study Group.
As a breast surgeon and specialist, John has written and lectured widely on many aspects of breast surgery, in particular breast reconstruction, breast reduction, breast augmentation and all aspects of breast cancer surgery.

Stan Govender
Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, MBChB FRACS
He moved to New Zealand in 1992 and completed postgraduate training obtaining FRACS in 1999.
Stan has 20 years’ experience as an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at St Marks Breast Centre and practises all aspects of breast surgery including oncologic surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy, breast reconstruction, breast augmentation and breast reduction.
Stan will tailor your cancer surgery to produce the best possible oncologic and cosmetic result. All your requests will be considered and all your questions answered in a carefully crafted consultation presenting you with all options for each clinical situation.
Stan operates mainly at Auckland Surgical Centre, a Southern Cross Hospital well respected for extremely high surgical standards.

Vanessa Blair
Breast & General Surgeon FRACS, PHD
Vanessa trained in Auckland and has a PhD in hereditary stomach and breast cancer from Auckland University.

Michelle Locke
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon MBChB, MD, FRACS (Plast)
After completing her training, Dr Locke spent two years in North America, honing her skills in breast reconstruction as well as cosmetic and aesthetic surgery…

Carmen Rosu
Breast Physician MD, FRNZCGP, FRACGP, FASBP
She became a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2005 and Fellow of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians in 2009. She has worked in Breast Medicine in New Zealand and Australia and is the current New Zealand Vice-president of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians .
Carmen is passionate about all aspects of Breast medicine , with a particular interest in early
detection of cancers , performing and interpreting ultrasounds and tissue diagnosis interventional procedures .
She is continuously inspired by her patients and their journeys , is actively involved in breast cancer education lecturing to GP groups as well as educating patients and counselling them on their breast health and various management options .

Tanya Sharp
Breast Physician, MA MBBS
Tanya has gained broad clinical experience working in hospitals in England, Australia and New Zealand. She has also pursued teaching and research opportunities.
Tanya joined St Marks Breast Centre in February 2013.

Noreen Tracey
Breast Radiologist MB BCh MRCP FRCR FFRRCSI
Noreen spent eight years in a busy diagnostic breast clinic and the NHS Breast Screening programme before moving to New Zealand in 2002. Noreen has worked for St Marks as Lead radiologist since 2002.She is a dedicated Breast radiologist and has extensive experience in all aspects of breast imaging. She has also worked a Clinical Director of BreastScreen in Central Auckland for a number of years.

Stephen Bepko
Breast Radiologist MD/Diplomate ABR
During his military career, he commanded (ran) a 90-person Radiology Department in Las Vegas, NV, and served as the Chief of Breast Imaging for the USAF Radiology Residency Program located at Travis AFB, CA.
Stephen loves calling Aotearoa home and spends his spare time exploring this beautiful country with his wife and two children.

Claire Martin
Group Nurse Manager
After several years providing relief support to St Marks and a breast cancer charity while on maternity leave, Claire has returned in July 2015 as Nurse Manager.
